The Catalan theatre meeting in Barcelona, Come & See, was born in 2006 as an initiative of CIATRE, the Association of Professional Theatre Companies from Catalonia. The objective was to promote the creations of Catalan theatre companies abroad and to mobilize the international theatre sector to Barcelona.

After the 2006 event, where it achieved the attendance of more than a hundred top-level programmers, in 2008 Come & See opened its doors to the Catalan performing arts sector, including dance proposals.

In 2008, during three days – from the 2nd to the 4th of July – one could see 28 performing arts showcases of approximately 30 minutes duration, project presentations, conferences and round tables, face-to-face meetings and many more activities for the one hundred accredited professionals.
